21 So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
We are human. And, there are times the enemy whispers in our ear and causes us to doubt if we are saved or if there is even a God. Even if you have walked with God for a long time, he will not give up. At a time when your life seems rooted and solid, that whisper will come. He will remind us of all our sins and mistakes and try to make us feel worthless. He is the king of worthlessness. But, He is also the king of lies! Do not accept his deception!
James 1:21 gives us reassurance of our salvation and how it comes to us. Read it closely.....
We are to rid ourselves of evil and uncleanness. Meaning, do not chose to live in sin. With a humble heart receive the Spirit of God. Then, we welcome, implant and root in our hearts the Word of God WHICH CONTAINS THE POWER TO SAVE OUR SOULS! Our salvation is found in His Word. Yes, it is our acceptance of Him as the one who saves our souls as we receive Him, but the POWER to live it is in His Word. Make it what you put in your mind daily. Put away thoughts that come from your flesh, the world or are negative and instead, embrace the Word of God. It is your truth!
The Word is Jesus! It speaks of who and what He is. It is not a book of dusty words, but is the declaration of God's power. For us! In those Words, are everything we need to live saved and blessed.
They key is your choice to receive it. So, the answer is to make that choice and remember, its not about YOUR power or might, but about the power of God that comes as we receive His Spirit and walk in His Word. When doubt speaks to your heart, say, "In Jesus' Name, I command you to leave and not return, Satan and any hindering spirits." And, then declare Scripture in its place. Faith-filled living 101!
Don't let the enemy have your thoughts. You gave your life to Jesus and you are saved! No, you don't have to be perfect. Jesus is perfect! And, it is through Him that God now sees us. His blood has taken our sin and His resurrection has given us power to rise above the natural man and live supernaturally. It's not based on you. It's based on HIM!
Speak His Word and DECLARE it over yourself! Most of all BELIEVE IT! This is how we live in the supernatural! My prayers are with all of you.
Much Love Always,
Karen
