"While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”
In this book, Matthew offers us proof of a life here after. Moses, who had been dead over 1000 years at the time he appeared on the mount of transfiguration was there, along with Elijah who never did die, but was taken to heaven alive. Either we believe the entire bible is true or its not. If we believe, this is proof to us and the world that we do not ever truly die. That is good news for those who have made Jesus their Lord. Not so good for those who have turned Him away.
What kept coming off the page to me in this short verse was "HEAR HIM!" With an exclamation point! God, the maker of all, was saying, "Yes, Indeed this IS my beloved, most loved, cherished, treasured Son!" And He had a direct message for us all........HEAR HIM! That's pretty simple.
So, I say to you today, ARE YOU HEARING HIM? Are you reading His Word, applying it to your life and walking in His truths? Or is it an option in your life? You choose what you will obey and what you will not.
All throughout His Word, we are told if we follow His precepts and instruction that He will guide our lives in HIS WILL and we can know we are pleasing to Him. Truthfully, following Him will not always feel good in the natural, but I assure you as you seek Him in deeper ways, you will find blessings in your spirit that you could not imagine before. I have found that to be true in my life. Even now, when trials that I could not have ever dreamed I would suffer fill my day, my spirit is lighter and more content than ever. It's only because He has replaced the weight with His own yoke of peace, patience, trust, faith, love and belief.
In the day we live, it has never been more critical to HEAR HIM and follow! I ask all Treasured Women to make the promise of seeking Him with all your hearts and following His ways. Don't let it be an option in your life if you truly want all He has for you. Remember, no one has every loved you enough like He does. He offered His most loved son to die in our place for our sin. For the gossip. For the liar. For the unfaithful spouse. For the alcoholic. For the murderer. For the terrorist. For those of us whose sin can remain hidden, perhaps until the day we die if we don't allow Him in to cleanse our lives and repent. Repentance brings FREEDOM. I urge you today to begin to truly HEAR HIM and find His greatest gifts. Love and thank God for all of you!
Treasuring You in His Love,
Karen
